Philipp Mainzer
Growing up in Hamburg, Philipp Mainzer studied product design at Central Saint Martins University and architecture at the Architectural Association University in London. In 1995 Philipp Mainzer established e15 with Florian Asche in London. After completing various interior design projects in England, he worked in New York as an architect. In 2007 he received the prestigious German Design Award for the design of the SHIRAZ sofa system. Today, he is managing partner and creative director of e15. Since November 2009 Philipp Mainzer is member of the executive committee of German Design Council, Rat für Formgebung.
