Slate or black stone is famous for being the material of blackboards but it is also a very ancient stone used even by the Romans. It is a particular metamorphic stone won from caves in Liguria. Its typical grey-black colour makes it looking like a simple but, at the same time, uncommon stone. Slate objects recall the implicit elegance of this material highlighted by the forms and the linearity which you do not have to explain but only touch.
